Encouraged by the need and awareness of the importance of education for people with multiple disabilities and visual impairments, in 1973 the Dwituna Education Foundation Rawinala was formed by several Javanese Christian Church activists. Realizing that physical and mental disabilities are universal problems, Rawinala opens opportunities for anyone, regardless of the background and social status.
In ancient Javanese, Rawinala means
Light of the Heart; it means that those who cannot see can still "see" through their other senses: their heart and soul.
To become a comprehensive service center for people with multiple disabilities and visual impairments in Indonesia
Organizing quality education, care, and development for people with multiple disabilities and visual impairments through professionalism of institutions, facilities, and networks
Give your heart and hands to serve
